Mary K. Talmachoff is a civil defense litigator with the firm. Her practice area is concentrated on cases involving automobile and common carrier liability. In addition, Ms. Talmachoff has experience with homeowners’ liability, product liability, and premises liability. Ms. Talmachoff’s experience also includes representing individuals and businesses in catastrophic injury and wrongful death cases. Ms. Talmachoff has handled cases in trial courts throughout California and has successfully resolved matters at trial, mediations, and settlement conferences. Ms. Talmachoff’s previous career experience includes staff counsel for Liberty Mutual Insurance Company in Los Angeles, California and as an associate at Ford, Walker, Haggerty & Behar, LLP, in Long Beach, California. Her professional membership includes the American Bar Association.
Ms. Talmachoff received her J.D. from McGeorge Law School, University of the Pacific in Sacramento, California. While at McGeorge Law School, Ms. Talmachoff was selected to be a student teacher in Appellate Advocacy and earned Honors in Trial Advocacy. Ms. Talmachoff obtained her B.A. in History from Chapman University in Orange, California, graduating cum laude.
In 2018 Ms. Talmachoff became a partner at Bates Winter & Associates. She is also a member of the American Board of Trial Advocates, an invitation only group of the most recognized litigators.
